First performed at Prestival in 2007 to great acclaim, The Poetry Dukebox is a self contained performance piece that takes poetry, rap and song out to the wider community.

The Poetry Dukebox tours nationally and was most recently seen at Preston Guild's Easter Egg Rolling Event in Preston. It proves popular with the most diverse crowds. Dizzee Rascal's "You got the Dirtee Love" is the new firm favourite, with Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You", Lewis Caroll's "Jabberwocky" and Eminem's "Lose Yourself" close runners up.

Seen here is the first ever Poetry Dukebox - each jukebox is completely original and made to tailor the event and/or performance conditions.

 As can be seen in the photo below, taken by the fantastic Matt Wilkes, each jukebox has it's own unique style. On the first day of the project, "Jabberwocky" is being performed, just as the side panels to The Poetry Dukebox have blown away. The design was modified the very next day.
